Q: Is a portfolio required for undergraduate admissions?
A: No. Undergraduate admissions is based on a combination of High School GPA, ACT/SAT scores and High School rank. For transfer students the transfer GPA is used. A portfolio review will take place upon completion of the First Year Program.


Q: How do I get a tour of the facilities in the School of Art and Design?
A: Undergraduate students should plan to attend a preview day, which is sponsored by the Office of Admissions. You may reach them at 312-996-4350.


Q: When is the deadline for Graduate admissions for Fall 2007?
A: February 1, 2007


Q: Do any of the MFA degree programs accept Spring admits?
A: All MFA degree programs accept new students each Fall semester only. The next admission cycle you may apply for is Fall 2007.


Q: Can a person take just one class without being admitted as a student at UIC?
A: No. You must either be admitted as a degree seeking student or as a non-degree seeking graduate student through the Graduate College. You will then have last priority of available classes.
