| This is a transformative year for the UIC School of Art and Design as we emerge from a 3-year strategic planning effort and take unprecedented steps toward an innovative vision for our future. In August 2013, we become two schools— two of the four academic units that comprise the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts. Our degree programs have been be reorganized into a School of Design and a School of Art and Art History. Our students will experience enhanced curriculum—revised to align with current and emerging forms of art and design practice—and they will continue to be mentored by our faculty of award-winning professional artists and designers.
