will present at the 2013 Annual Conference of the American Association of University Professionals in Washington DC. The conference has excepted papers on the State of Higher Education. Becker will present on Wednesday June 12th from 2:00-2:30pm.

Education is--by all! means--a full success
Our education is not interested in whether it educates but in itself. it is like a patient who asks a psychologist for help: "I want you to change me without changing me." ...an autopoietic system within which change remains polemic, idealism, fake, ...all education is an argument of success. it is not an operant for success.

and the position she brings to painting, as well as the context(s) and subject(s) of her work, are given in-depth consideration in a six-page feature essay, “Painting’s Place” by Molly Warnock, in the March 2013 issue of Art In America.

Warnock, Assistant Professor in Art History, Emory University, establishes a fresh read of specific works by Fish, selected from sets / series of paintings from 1998 – 2011, including, among others, those from Entry; Living Rooms; and the recent Thresholds.

will present at the Society of Typographic Arts Winter Retreat on Saturday, January 19, 2013. The theme of this year's annual gathering, The Architecture of Letterforms, is inspired by the work of American artist, designer and teacher Norman Ives (1923-1978) who studied under Josef Albers and Herbert Matter as a member of the inaugural class of the Yale Program In Graphic Design.
