will present at the 2013 Annual Conference of the American Association of University Professionals in Washington DC. The conference has excepted papers on the State of Higher Education. Becker will present on Wednesday June 12th from 2:00-2:30pm.

Our education is not interested in whether it educates but in itself. it is like a patient who asks a psychologist for help: "I want you to change me without changing me." ...an autopoietic system within which change remains polemic, idealism, fake, ...all education is an argument of success. it is not an operant for success.

will be featured in the 2013 Chicago Design Museum, a Pop-up Exhibition that celebrated the blurred line between work and play. Massey served on the UIC Design faculty from 1984–2002, forming the foundation for our renown program in Graphic Design.

With a celebrated and storied career both as a practitioner of design and as an educator, John is perhaps most well known for his time as Director of Design at Container Corporation of America. It was within this capacity that he created the Center for Advanced Research in Design, an effort that specialized in corporate design and communication strategies for major corporations.

On exhibition are 15 posters that promoted Chicago resources and institutions as well as works commissioned by clients including Herman Miller and the Aspen Music Festival. Massey will donate the exhibition posters to the UIC Library's Special Collections Department.

The Exhibition opens on June 1. An opening reception on June 10 will kick off Design Week Chicago:

Warnock, Assistant Professor in Art History, Emory University, establishes a fresh read of specific works by Fish, selected from sets / series of paintings from 1998 – 2011, including, among others, those from Entry; Living Rooms; and the recent Thresholds.

will present at the Society of Typographic Arts Winter Retreat on Saturday, January 19, 2013. The theme of this year's annual gathering, The Architecture of Letterforms, is inspired by the work of American artist, designer and teacher Norman Ives (1923-1978) who studied under Josef Albers and Herbert Matter as a member of the inaugural class of the Yale Program In Graphic Design.
