Timesample is an open web-based generative video installation created from found footage of existing movie and television footage. Timesample produces unstuck leisure time by imposing remembered cinematic time on to the constraints of mechanical abstract. The clock represents the modern industrial era that gave rise to cinema as a leisure time activity. As an online project, timesample hopes to stand out by utilizing computer-vision and online participation to build a community of leisure time clock makers. [ more information ]
