Biography:

Matthew Gaynor has taught in graphic design programs at the University of Kansas, California State University — San Bernadino, the University of Cincinnati for the last 18 years, and now at UIC, while also maintaining a freelance design practice focused on small corporate identity and various typographic projects. Prior to coming to UIC, Professor Gaynor was creative director at F & W Publications, an Ohio based company which publishes titles such as I-D and HOW magazines, as well as several book imprints.
