Good pictures are like pop rocks for the eyes, tickling the optic nerve and leaving irises temporarily stained a pleasant neon green. Groupon's Chicago-based editorial department is looking for full-time, in-house image designers to create the eye candy that accompanies every deal we feature on our site. Groupon's image designers create the business-specific images that run above each write-up. This position does not perform other design work related to our site. The source images come from business websites and stock photography; 80% of this job is having a good eye to pick out images that work well. The rest of it is having super-fly Photoshop skills and the ability to work at high volume. A four-year degree is required. Compensation for this position is $33K and includes full benefits.
